Arnold Hall

Arnold Hall is located two blocks from the Mountainlair, and is convenient to downtown Morgantown. This attractive environment has a dining hall, Academic Resource Center, laundry facilities, and a fitness room with billiard and ping-pong tables.

Arnold Hall is divided into two sections: Main and Annex. Students in the Main section live in suites, which are two double rooms that share a bathroom and are joined by a common hallway. The Annex has single, double, and triple rooms, and community bathrooms.

Arnold Apartments

Arnold Apartments (efficiencies), connected to Arnold Hall, is an apartment complex for sophomores, juniors, and seniors (two or three students to each). These apartments (bedroom area, kitchenette, bathroom, air conditioned) are popular for their privacy, affordability, and convenience.

Bennett Tower

Bennett Tower is part of the Evansdale Residential Complex (ERC), known as “Towers.” Located on the Evansdale campus, the ERC is a short PRT ride from the downtown campus or Health Sciences Center. The Student Recreation Center is right outside your door. Almost 1,800 students, male and female, live in this complex, which shares a central lobby and dining area. The halls feature single, double, and triple rooms with community bathrooms.

All rooms are air-conditioned and carpeted, with laundry rooms and lounges on each floor. The complex includes tennis and basketball courts, a post office, campus bookstore, academic resource center, computer center, classrooms, and the Lyon’s Den sandwich shop. Bennett Tower is within walking distance of the Evansdale campus, the Coliseum, Milan Puskar Stadium (home of Mountaineer Field), the Creative Arts Center, and groceries and restaurants.

Boreman Hall North

Boreman Hall is split into two parts: Boreman North and Boreman South. Both are popular because they are extremely convenient to the Mountainlair and downtown classrooms. Forget a book? You can dash back to your room and get it. Residents of Boreman enjoy a dining hall, multimedia classroom, kitchen, TV lounges, and laundry rooms. The Mountainlair and Plaza are just across the street.

Boreman North is home to approximately 227 female students. Each wing contains single, double, and triple rooms with a community bath. A large recreation room with billiard and ping-pong tables and a kitchenette is on the lower level.

Boreman Hall South

Boreman Hall is split into two parts: Boreman North and Boreman South. Both are popular because they are extremely convenient to the Mountainlair and downtown classrooms. Forget a book? Boreman South is a courtyard-style building with several separate entries, and houses about 315 male and female students. This hall’s unique layout includes many double suites that open into a stairwell instead of a hallway. There are also traditional double and single rooms, with community bathrooms, in the “D” and “L” entries. While Boreman South is filled with mostly non-freshmen students, a limited amount of space is available for new students.

College Park – The Ridge

These apartments feature four bedroom/four students per apartment and two bathrooms. Each apartment has a washer and dryer, kitchen with breakfast bar, and a furnished common living area. Bedrooms are furnished with double beds, a desk and chair and are billed at single room rate. Students need to bring their own kitchen items (dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc), bed linens, and pillows. Although College Park apartments have kitchens, students are still required to purchase a meal plan. As with all plans, meals can be eaten at any of WVU’s residence halls. Each apartment comes with one phone line per apartment and one Ethernet connection per student.

Students also have access to a fitness center, computer center, swimming pool, free parking, and a University-run shuttle service. The shuttle provides transportation to and from the ERC and two PRT stations.

Dadisman Hall

Combining great views with convenience, Dadisman Hall is quite popular. It is located behind the Mountainlair and adjacent to Stalnaker Hall. Classes on the downtown campus are just a few steps away: 381 female and male students call Dadisman home. There are single and double rooms with community bathrooms, and the hall includes a lounge, central laundry rooms, study rooms, and a fitness room.

Fieldcrest Hall

Fieldcrest Hall is within easy walking distance of the Evansdale Residential Complex (ERC) and the Personal Rapid Transit system (PRT). It is located next to the Health Sciences Center and Milan Puskar Stadium, home of Mountaineer Field. A free shuttle service transports students to the ERC for meals. Limited parking is available.

Fieldcrest has suite-style rooms with semiprivate baths (two students on each side of a bathroom). The beds are extra-long twin (36” x 80” sheets).

International House

International House is within easy walking distance of the downtown campus and the Personal Rapid Transit system (PRT). It is located on North Spruce Street, close to Boreman Hall. International House is a hall for students who are interested in learning more about the world. Students from around the world live and learn together in a unique environment. Academic, social, and service-oriented programs with an international focus are part of the experience. To apply for International House, you have to fill out an application and write an essay describing your interest. There is space for 17 female and 20 male residents, and the application for International House is due by April 15.

The double rooms in International House are furnished with single beds, study desks, and chairs. The fitted sheet size is 36” x 80”. Community bathrooms are on each floor. You may purchase voice mail for your room or bring your own answering machine.

Lincoln Hall

A brand-new residence hall, located directly beside the Evansdale Residential Complex (ERC), opened in fall 2006. It houses about 320 male and female students. It includes suites and double rooms, is air-conditioned, and has a small library, study rooms, theater, and laundry facilities.

Lyon Tower

Pierpont Hall

Pierpont is within easy walking distance of the Evansdale campus and the Personal Rapid Transit System (PRT). It is located across the street from the Evansdale Residential Complex, which is home to Bennett, Braxton, Brooke, and Lyon Towers.

The apartments have single and double rooms where students sleep, along with a living area, kitchen, and bathroom. Students are still required to purchase a meal plan. As with all plans, meals can be eaten at any of WVU’s residence halls. You may purchase voice mail for your room or bring your own answering machine.

Pierpont Apartments is furnished with single beds, study desks, and chairs. The fitted sheet size should be for a 36” x 80” mattress.

Stalnaker Hall

Stalnaker was WVU’s first residence hall, and was renovated to its original greatness in 1993. It is the home of the Honors College. First-year students in the Honors College live in Stalnaker and participate in the Honors College living community. Many rooms are two-bedroom suites connected by a bathroom. Stalnaker has a dining hall, electronic classroom, and study rooms.

Summit Hall

Summit is within easy walking distance of the downtown campus and the Personal Rapid Transit System (PRT). It is located one block from the new Life Sciences building. Summit features suite-accommodations with two students to a room sharing a bathroom with students in an adjoining room. Summit also has its own dining facility.

Summit rooms are furnished with single beds, study desks, and chairs. The bed size is regular twin. You may purchase voice mail for your room or bring your own answering machine.
