Commuting Students

All singe first-year students (including transfer students with fewer than 29 transferable credit hours) are required to live in University housing, unless:

If you are a commuter, please submit your academic deposit. You will then receive University housing information. Check the box marked “Commuter” on the contract, and return it (no housing deposit is required).

This is a place where commuting students can rest between classes, study, and socialize with friends.

Off-Campus Student Dining Plans
For an off-campus student dining plan contract, please call Dining Services at 304-293-2096, ext 4, or download the form (PDF).

The Commuter Special: limited to breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, this plan is designed for the commuting student who seldom stays on campus for dinner or weekends.
$900 per semester (average cost per meal: $5.63)

The Upper Class Elite: The Elite offers any 80 meals per semester and 100 Meals Plus Bonus Bucks.
$814 per semester (average cost per meal: $8.93)

The Upper Class Express: the Express offers any 48 meals per semester.
$460 per semester (average cost per meal: $9.58)

Note: Meals Plus Bonus Bucks may be used to enter a dining room more than one time per meal period, to treat friends and family, or to visit our other locations across campus for a change of pace. Because they are part of your dining plan, they expire at the end of the semester when your dining plan ends.
